Paul Green - Club Draws
What's your 30-second elevator speech?
Left school and joined the oil company BP, worked on various Oil Rigs in the North Sea as an instrument and controls engineer.
After 10 years I had built up a portfolio of property and decided to leave BP to manage them myself and create a Property Management business. Built that Upto 400 properties and sold it in 2007.
Travelled the world and returned to sunny yorkshire to build houses, apartments, a Hotel (for offshore workers), led a super league rugby club and lived to sponsor kids in Sport.
Acquired another Property Management business and grew that to almost 1000 properties, built another hotel under the Hilton brand then moved to Sydney!
Now enjoying a slower life seeing more of the family and helping a few charities utilising what I learnt in over 20 years of hard work.
Who inspires you the most to be the best you can be as a person?
My parents inspired me to push myself professionally and work harder than your peers to succeed, when i was young I was taught that “Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard” my kids inspire me to do the right thing going forward and be the best person I can be!
Can you tell us a little bit about your business, and the areas you specialise in?
I have an online platform that allows charities to run and benefit from their own fundraising raffles online. We supply the prize and marketing expertise leaving the charity to earn a substantial residual income.
Can you tell me about one of your client success stories?
We started a raffle for the Men of League Foundation 14 weeks ago, each week I now transfer them over $3500 as their income and I love it!
What’s your favourite thing about working at Motive Coworking?
The people are great at Motive, I wanted to get out of the house and integrate with others and it appears you can do that in lots of places but the people make Motive stand out!
What does life look like outside your business profile? What do you like doing for fun?
I love the water, I enjoy being on the boat, kayak, stand up paddle or whatever gets us out. Travel and adventure takes up our spare time along with a love of Rugby League!
Is there anything you would like to share? Or anything you’d like to offer help with?
I would love a good local marketing guru who is awesome at Facebook ads! Hopefully, I can meet someone at motive who can help us grow! I am always looking to welcome new charities who need to raise some funds without having to lay out any money or risk.
Bonus Question: If you were a sandwich, what sort of sandwich would you be and why?
Sandwich...
A service station sandwich.... looks shit, but always there when needed!
